It's been a pretty slow day here since I arrived, but I get the feeling that this is what Sorrento is about. I spent most of the day at La Marinella, which is an outrageously expensive beach where you pay for the lift down (the lift!) as well as entrance and for a beach longue - €11 later I was enjoying the crystal clear water and the Italian sun - don't think I'll be doing it again though, was a nice experience but not good for my funds.

The coastline here is absolutely breathtaking and everything is so pretty - a nice change to Naples. I've been reading a book for the majority of the day called "Picnic in Provence, a tale of love in France, with recipes" which is right up my alley and so I'm now dreaming of food. Tomorrow I'm not sure what I'll be doing, I might take the train to Positano, have a look around there and then go to Amalfi via Ferry. I'm planning a separate day trip to Capri as well, for which I might book a guided tour of some sort. I met some nice Australian girls at the hostel (well it's more like a hotel, with a pool) from the Gold Coast and I'll be grabbing dinner with them tonight in the town centre.
I'm currently writing this with my Kindle beside my computer and a miniature bottle of Prosecco celebrating how lucky I am to travel and the beautiful people who have helped me achieve this, and those who I'll meet along the way.
Ciao!
